The 2010 All-County Teaching Team Members Announced

Summit County's 2010 All-County Teaching Team will be honored Monday, October 18^th during the Summit County Education Celebration held at the Student Union Conference Center at The University of Akron. The event is sponsored by The University of Akron, Akron Children's Hospital, WKDD, WHLO, 1350 Sports Radio, Akron Beacon Journal, Ohio.com, Diebold Inc., and the Summit County Educational Service Center.

The 2010 All-County Teaching Team members were nominated by the community and chosen to represent their school systems by a selection committee, comprised of superintendents of each Summit County school district and a representative from each sponsor. The team is as follows:

Pamela Cicora - Akron Public Schools; James Jensen - Barberton City Schools;
Carrie Roseberry - Copley-Fairlawn City Schools; Melissa Carr - Coventry Local Schools; Rosemarie Millin - Cuyahoga Falls City Schools; Stan Darrah - Green Local Schools;
Shaun Gaskin - Hudson City Schools; Sandra McClain - Manchester Local Schools;
Faye Maholm - Mogadore Local Schools; Lisa Dressig - Nordonia City Schools;
John Pritchard - Norton City Schools; Patricia Elliott - Portage Lakes Career Center;
Alan Silvidi - Revere Local Schools; Holly Reed - Springfield Local Schools;
David Barone - Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools; Jennie Green - Tallmadge City Schools; Laura Dorland - Twinsburg City Schools; Leah Norris - Woodridge Local Schools;
Monica Denowski - Parochial Schools; Terri Weaver - Private Schools.

One member of the Teaching Team will be named the 2010 Teacher of the Year, to be announced the night of the banquet along with Rookie of the Year and Lifetime Educator Award recipient.

On Monday, October 18^th, social hour for the banquet will begin at 5:00 p.m. and dinner will be at 6:00 p.m. with an awards ceremony to follow. Tickets are required to attend the banquet and are $25 each. Tickets are available by calling Shannon English Marketing at
